Politicians in the North have two months left to exert their influence over key economic and educational issues facing the province by resurrecting a power-sharing government, Peter Hain insisted today.

In a keynote address to CBI members in Belfast, the Northern secretary said there was no reason why the government would ignore representations from devolved ministers elected in the North on economic issues and on the future of academic selection.
