Mahon inquiry allegations nothing new, says Taoiseach

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has claimed there is nothing new in reports this morning revealing that he is being investigated over payments from a number of businessmen.

Reports this morning say the Mahon Tribunal has written to three of four people concerning payments to Mr Ahern totalling between €50,000 and €100,000.
