Man arrested over fatal Moyross shooting
One man has been arrested in relation to a fatal shooting in the Moyross area of Limerick last night.
An 18-year-old youth was apprehended on the Old Cratloe Road at around 1pm this afternoon.
He was taken to Mayorstone Garda Station in the city where he’s being held under Section 30 of the offences against the state act.
Gardaí said he was being questioned as part of their investigation in to the killing of 21-year-old Frankie Ryan in Pineview Gardens, Moyross last night.
The state pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy arrived at the scene of the shooting earlier today to carry out a technical examination of the scene.
The victim lived in the area and Gardaí have linked him to a gang involved in an ongoing feud.
Gardaí have appealed for information from the public and are due to hold a news conference this afternoon.
