Govt to announce 3,000 new affordable homes for Dublin
The Government is reportedly set to announce plans for the provision of up to 3,000 new affordable homes throughout the Greater Dublin area in the coming years.
Reports this morning said the houses and apartments would be built as a result of the activities of the state body set up last year to boost the delivery of affordable homes in the Dublin region.
The Affordable Homes Partnership has reportedly been in negotiations with various developers about the construction of the housing at dozens of sites in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare.
This morning's reports said the first of the housing deals would be officially announced shortly, followed by further individual announcements over the coming months.
