Blix to address Oireachtas foreign affairs committee
The man who led the UN's hunt for Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction is due to give an address to the Oireachtas foreign affairs committee in Dublin today.
Hans Blix was the head of the UN weapons inspection body in Iraq between 2000 and 2003.
In February 2003, he had told the UN Security Council that he had found no evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
Dr Blix is on a two-day visit to Dublin and will also make an address to the Institute of European Affairs tomorrow.
