PSNI warn over dissident republican threat

Businesses across the North should be alert to the threat of further dissident republican attacks, senior PSNI officials warned today.

Assistant Chief Constable Peter Sheridan said renegade republicans posed a serious risk to property and threatened to destabilise the political process before the November 24 deadline for restored devolution.

The warning follows the fire-bombing of four businesses in Newry, close to the border, last month.
