Two men arrested after serious assault in Co Clare

Two men are being questioned about a serious assault in Co Clare in the early hours of Monday morning.

A 33-year-old father-of-five is critically ill in Ennis General Hospital, following the attack in Kildysart.

The two men arrested in Kildysart this morning are 21 and 33 years of age.

They are being held at Kilrush Garda Station.
