Laytown crisis ends as children begin school term

The accommodation crisis in Co Meath has been resolved as almost 100 junior infants finally started their school term at 2pm this afternoon.

Pupils from Scoil Oilibhear Naofa, in Laytown, had been left with no school to go to this week because of problems with planning permission to extend the building.

The children will have class between 2pm and 3.15pm for the next two weeks, until the gym at the local senior school is converted into three temporary classrooms.
