Irishman returns home after kidnap ordeal in Nigeria

The Irishman released by his kidnappers in Nigeria earlier this week will return home to Ireland this afternoon.

Brian Fogarty spent ten days in captivity by armed man in a jungle camp.

The 39 year old engineer was kidnapped along with five other employees of the oil industry on August 14.

They were released on Wednesday night following negotiations between the kidnappers and Nigerian government officials.

Brian was reunited with his family in London yesterday and will fly into Shannon airport later this afternoon.
