Murder inquiry launched after death of man in Down
Police in the North have launched a murder inquiry following the discovery of a man's body on a road in Bangor, Co Down.
The body was found at Owen Roe Drive in the loyalist Kilcooley estate at around 11pm last night.
The area has been sealed off for technical examination and a post mortem is due to be carried out later today.
The PSNI has not disclosed any details about how the victim died, but reports suggest he was the victim of a severe beating.
Meanwhile, a post mortem is also being carried out today on the body of a man found close to the Ballygomartin River in Belfast yesterday.
The man, who was in his 20s, was found dead in the loyalist Forthriver area.
The police are treating his death as suspicious and have asked for any witnesses to come forward.
