Man arrested after fake goods raid

One man was arrested after a raid on a house in Bangor where £30,000 (€44,000) worth of fake goods were recovered, police said today.

One man was arrested after a raid on a house in Bangor where £30,000 (€44,000) worth of fake goods were recovered, police said today.

Officers from the Organised Crime Squad swooped on the home in the Whitehill Estate in the town yesterday in a planned operation.

Counterfeit DVDs, CDs and manufacturing equipment was seized and a large sum of cash was also recovered.

The man has been charged with trademark and copyright offences and is due to appear before Bangor Magistrates on September 13.
