Bomb scare in Drogheda
Gardaí have ordered a security alert in Co Louth.
They received a phone call this morning claiming that a bomb had been left in the Credit Union on Laurences St in Drogheda.
As a precaution, staff and shoppers have also been evacuated from the area.
The street has been sealed off and gardaí are carrying out a search of the premises.
The incident follows an alert earlier this week on the Louth-Armagh border. Seventy pounds of explosives were discovered on land owned by millionaire and Unionist peer Edward Haughey.
