Gardaí name murdered Ballymun man

Gardaí have named the man found murdered in Ballymun, north Dublin as 44-year-old Gregory Rowan.

Gardaí have named the man found murdered in Ballymun, north Dublin as 44-year-old Gregory Rowan.

Although his body was found yesterday afternoon at Sillogue Road, it was only after a post mortem that a murder inquiry was launched.

The examination revealed he died from injuries sustained during an assault.

Gardaí are conducting interviews in the vicinity and a technical examination of the scene is being carried out.
