No-one hurt after arson attack on house

A person escaped unharmed in an arson attack on his or her home last night in the North after neighbours came to the rescue.

A person escaped unharmed in an arson attack on his or her home last night in the North after neighbours came to the rescue.

Police believe a petrol bomb may have been used in the incident in the Limefield area of Lurgan, Co Armagh.

The alarm was raised at around 11.35pm when neighbours noticed a pram and wheelie bins around the house were alight.

They managed to wake the occupant, who was asleep at the time.

Detectives in Portadown have yet to establish a motive for the attack.
