Youth Council votes in favour of new partnership deal
The National Youth Council of Ireland has voted to accept the new social partnership deal negotiated earlier this year.
The council says 84% of its members voted in favour of the Towards 2016 agreement in line with a recommendation from the governing board.
James Doorley, assistant director of the NYCI, has welcomed the outcome of the ballot, saying the agreement ensures that issues affecting young people will be addressed over the coming years.
