FG: Prices rising despite abolition of Groceries Order
Consumers are continuing to pay high prices in supermarkets despite the abolition of the Groceries Order, according to Fine Gael.
A survey carried out by Fine Gael has found that shoppers are paying an extra €2 on an average basket of goods.
That means that consumers are actually paying more for their weekly groceries than they were before the Order was scrapped.
Spokesman Denis Naughten said that the government must ensure that the public are not being ripped off.
