Elderly woman dies in Cork road accident
The woman in her 70s died yesterday after she was hit by a car on the Togher road in Cork just before 5.30pm yesterday evening.
It is understood she died at the scene near the entrance to the Greenwood Estate at about 5.30pm.
A postmortem is expected to be carried out later this morning on the woman’s remains.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
