The woman in her 70s died yesterday after she was hit by a car on the Togher road in Cork just before half five yesterday evening.

The woman in her 70s died yesterday after she was hit by a car on the Togher road in Cork just before 5.30pm yesterday evening.

It is understood she died at the scene near the entrance to the Greenwood Estate at about 5.30pm.
