Man dies in Wexford car crash

A 57-year-old man died tonight when the car he was in hit a tree.

The victim was a front seat passenger in a car that lost control and collided with the tree at Courtballyedmond, Monamolin, Co Wexford, at 6.15pm.

The female driver was taken to Wexford General Hospital with minor injuries.

Earlier today, a woman in her 70s died when her car struck a wall in Knock, Inverin, Co Galway.
