Donegal gardaí investigate three sex assaults

Gardaí in Donegal are investigating three separate sexual assaults at the weekend.

An eight-year-old child was assaulted on Saturday morning after an intruder broke into a house in Bunbeg. A seventeen-year-old man was arrested and later released without charge.

Meanwhile, two Gaeltacht students were assaulted in unrelated incidents in Gweedore and Loughanure. A female student was attacked as she left a céili in a GAA hall at Magheragallon last Friday night. Also on Friday night, a student at an Irish college in a house in Loughanure was assaulted.

A man in his late teens was arrested and later released without charge.
