Thirteen headlands around the Irish coast are being used as vantage points today for the annual nationwide whale and dolphin watch, which takes place between 2pm and 5pm today.

Thirteen headlands around the Irish coast are being used as vantage points today for the annual nationwide whale and dolphin watch, which takes place between 2pm and 5pm today.

A total of 24 varieties of cetaceans have been recorded along the Irish coastline.

The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group will have an expert available at each of the viewing spots to help people recognise the different species.
