Pedestrian dies after Co Wexford road accident
A 67-year-old pedestrian has become the latest person to lose his life on Ireland's roads.
The man, a British national, died after being hit by a car in Kilrane, Co Wexford, at around 11.30pm last night.
His name is being withheld until all next of kin are informed.
The death comes as gardaà prepare to conduct thousands of random breath tests around the country in an effort to prevent another bank holiday weekend from being marred by carnage on the roads.
