Elderly woman injured in Co Roscommon car crash dies

An 83-year-old woman has died following a car crash in Co Roscommon yesterday.

The accident occurred at Knockcroghery at 9.30am yesterday morning, when the car she was driving collided with a telegraph pole.

She was taken to Roscommon hospital, where she later died from her injuires.

Gardaí have named the woman as Josephine Grimes from Killaloe in Roscommon.
