Body in caravan: Man released
A man arrested after the body of a man was recovered from a burning caravan was tonight released without charge.
Gardaí have yet to formally name the man, whose remains were discovered by firefighters battling the blaze at Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny this morning.
He is believed to have been in his mid-40s and from a locally well-known family of 11.
The scene, behind a row of cottages at Deer Park, remained sealed off tonight as the investigation continued into the cause of the fire.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out at Waterford Regional Hospital.
Gardaí arrested and questioned a 21-year-old man under the Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, in connection with the fatal blaze. He was released tonight without charge.
Firefighters who were called to the scene at around 4.25am found the body in the mobile home after extinguishing the blaze.
