Limerick man drowned, according to postmortem
A post-mortem carried out tonight on the body of a man pulled from a river in Limerick has found he died from drowning.
The body of a man was taken from the Abbey River in the city centre shortly after 8am. A post-mortem carried out found he had died from drowning.
A garda spokesman said: “There was nothing in the post-mortem to say there was foul play involved.”
Gardaí said they would be completing their investigation file for the Coroner’s office.
