An ambulance has overturned after a collision with a car in Dublin's north inner city this morning.

An ambulance has overturned after a collision with a car in Dublin's north inner city this morning.

Four people were slightly injured in the crash, which happened shortly before 10am at the Summerhill junction of Parnell St and Gardiner St.

The Dublin Fire Service ambulance was not carrying a patient at the time, but its two crewmen were slightly injured, as were two people who were travelling in the car.

All four were taken to the nearby Mater hospital for observation.
