Man arrested after Dublin bank raid
A man has been arrested after an attempted burglary at a bank in Dublin today.
A sum of money, believed to be up to €40,000, was recovered.
The suspect was apprehended as he attempted to make off on foot from the Bank of Ireland in Blanchardstown at around 5am this morning.
A garda spokeswoman said the bank’s property had been recovered and the man was being held at Finglas garda station for questioning.
It is believed he got in through a back door with an iron bar but was arrested by gardaí after setting off the alarm.
