A dog today sniffed out up to €250,000 of cocaine at Cork Airport.

The drug detector canine called Harvey made the find in the bag of a passenger who had arrived on a flight from Amsterdam.

Officers from Revenue’s Custom Service seized what is believed to be approximately 3kgs of the Class A drug.

The man, a Nigerian who is resident in Ireland, was arrested by Customs Officers. He is currently being questioned by gardaí at Togher Station.
