A four-year-old girl died after receiving serious injuries in a farming accident.

A four-year-old girl has died after receiving serious injuries in a farming accident.

The girl is believed to have been fatally injured after an accident involving a tractor at a farm in Tullylease near Charleville in north Cork.

The accident happened around 5.30pm on Saturday. It is believed the girl was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on the girl’s remains at Cork University Hospital.
