Police in Belfast were today questioning three people after an assault in a Belfast city centre bar left a bouncer with serious injuries.

Police in Belfast were today questioning three people after an assault in a Belfast city centre bar left a bouncer with serious injuries.

The man was being treated in a Belfast hospital after the attack in a bar on Bedford Street at around 7.15pm.

It is understood the three people were arrested shortly afterwards.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw anyone running at the junction of Bedford Street and Ormeau Avenue to help their investigation.
