The European Commission has dropped two legal cases it was taking against Ireland over alleged breaches of environmental regulations.

The European Commission has dropped two legal cases it was taking against Ireland over alleged breaches of environmental regulations.

The cases concerned the protection of the ozone layer and the scrapping of old cars.
