McAleese to visit Austria

President Mary McAleese is to make a three-day visit to Austria later this month.

The head of state’s itinerary includes meetings with President Heinz Fischer and Chancellor Wolfgang Schussel.

Mrs McAleese will also meet with members of the Irish community in Vienna and address a business breakfast hosted by Enterprise Ireland.

The president will visit the church of St Gall and attend a concert by the Viennese Symphony Orchestra.

The president has already visited the Middle East, the US and southern Africa during 2006.
