More arrests made after further searches in Limerick

Limerick gardaí have seized more firearms and arrested a further two men in follow-up searches this afternoon, following the seizure of over a million euro worth of drugs last night.

Limerick gardaí have seized more firearms and arrested a further two men in follow-up searches this afternoon, following the seizure of over €1m worth of drugs last night.

Three rifles and a box of ammunition were found at the back of house in St Mary's Park at lunchtime today.

The two men were arrested at the scene.

One of them is being held by gardaí, while the second man has appeared before Limerick District Court charged in connection with obstructing Garda work.
