Two firms to create 285 jobs in Shannon Free Zone

Two companies have announced plans to create a total of 285 jobs over the next five years at their facilities in Shannon, Co Clare.

The British insurance firm Halifax is planning to hire an extra 185 workers, while the US customer care company Sykes Enterprises says it will be creating 100 new positions.

Both companies operate from the Shannon Free Zone attached to Shannon Airport.
