Man hospitalised after screwdriver stabbing in Newry
A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed overnight in Newry.
He was attacked by two men in their mid 20s shortly after midnight in the Margaret Street area of the city and in the ensuing scuffle the man was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver.
Police in Newry are appealing for witnesses.
Meanwhile, police in Lisburn are investigating a possible racially motivated attack.
A man, who is understood to be of Russian origin, received serious head and eye injuries when he was attacked by two men with baseball bats and sticks.
