Thousands expected for Gay Pride march in Dublin
Thousands of people are expected to take part in Gay Pride celebrations taking place in Dublin later today.
A colourful parade will make its way down O'Connell Street in the early stages of the afternoon.
Issues such as civil partnership rights, anti-gay hate-crimes and homophobic bullying in schools will be highlighted.
But Ciaran McKinney of the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network said that the emphasis of today’s events centres mostly about having a good time.
