Abbeylara report expected to be published next month

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, has told the Dáil that Justice Robert Barr's report into the Abbeylara siege six years ago is expected to be published next month.

The report will contain the conclusions of the Barr Tribunal into the fatal shooting of 20-year-old John Carthy by armed Gardaí in the Co Longford town in April 2000.

Mr Ahern told the Dáil today that report had been finalised and is ready for printing.
