Haughey 'had immense ability to get things done'

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has paid tribute to his former mentor Charles Haughey, whose death was announced this morning.

The 80-year-old former Taoiseach died at his Abbeville mansion in north Dublin following a lengthy battle with prostate cancer and a heart condition.
