Man due in court in relation to death of young woman in Galway
A 25-year-old Galway man is due in court today in connection with the death of a young woman at an apartment in the city yesterday morning.
Twenty-four-year-old Karen Guinee, a medical student from Cork, was found dead at the apartment on Father Griffin Avenue at around 6.30am following an emergency call from a neighbour.
The man due in court today was discovered at the apartment with head injuries.
He was taken to hospital for treatment before being arrested by gardaí investigating Ms Guinee's death.
