Man in critical condition after south Dublin shooting
A man in his 40s is in a critical condition in hospital after he was injured in a shooting in the Crumlin area of south Dublin last night.
The incident happened just before 11pm on Aughavanagh Road.
The victim, who is believed to have been shot in the back, underwent surgery overnight at St James' Hospital and remains critically ill this morning.
The motive for the shooting is unknown, with the Gardaí neither confirming or denying that it was gang-related.
