Aid agencies hoping President's visits will raise awareness
Irish aid agencies have said they hope the President’s visit to Lesotho, Mozambique and Lesotho will help create a greater awareness of their work.
Mary McAleese will spend the next two weeks visiting a number of projects operated by the agencies.
Tom Wright, who works with Concern in Mozambique, said the agency's method of working has changed in recent times and is less reliant on volunteers from this country.
