Three turned away from exams because of haircuts

Three Junior Certificate students at a Co Offaly vocational school have been turned away from the exam hall because their haircuts were in breach of school rules.

They were allowed to sit the English papers at Tullamore College yesterday, but were today told to attend another centre six miles away in Clara.

The boys' heads had been shaved with a tight 'raw blade'.
