Inflation hits 3.9% after fifth consecutive monthly rise

Ireland's inflation rate has risen for the fifth consecutive month, according to figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO said average prices increased by 0.4% during May, pushing the annual inflation rate up to 3.9%.
