Gardaí have named two of the men killed in three separate road accidents last night.

Forty-two-year-old James Lee from Bennettsbridge in Kilkenny was killed when his motorbike crashed into a ditch on the Bennetsbridge-to-Thomastown road at about 6pm yesterday.

Another man, 20-year-old Daniel Mahon from Mullinahone in Co Tipperary, was killed in a two-car collision on the Clonmel-to-Kilkenny Road just after 3am today.

A man in his 30s who was killed in an accident in Blackrock in Dublin this morning has still not been named.

These latest deaths bring to 174 the number of people killed on the country's roads this year.
