Man charged with Haddock assassination attempt

A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a leading loyalist in Co Antrim.

A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a leading loyalist in Co Antrim.

Mark Haddock, who is alleged to have been a Special Branch agent, was shot several times last Tuesday.

He had been attending a meeting in Newtownabbey.

The suspect hasn't been identified and is due before a magistrate in Belfast tomorrow.
