Three men have been killed on the country's roads since yesterday evening.

The three separate collisions happened in Kilkenny, Tipperary and Dublin.

A 42-year-old man died when his motorbike crashed into a ditch on the Bennetsbridge-to-Thomastown road in Kilkenny.

It happened at around 6pm yesterday.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man is dead following a two-car head-on collision on the Clonmel-to-Kilkenny road in Co Tipperary.

The crash happened shortly after 3am today.

A man in his 30s has been killed in Blackrock in Dublin.

The car he was driving crashed into a tree at around 5am today.

Gardaí are investigating all three incidents.

This brings to 174 the number of people killed on the roads this year
