Famine victims remembered at Dublin ceremony
Victims of the Famine have been remembered at a ceremony in Dublin.
Members of the group which commemorates the 19th century tragedy every year held a small procession from the Garden of Remembrance to the Famine Memorial in the docklands.
They want the Government to designate a special day for those who died during the country's most catastrophic natural disaster and claim it was as important an event in Irish history as the 1916 Easter Rising.
