Gardaí investigate death of young man in Limerick

Gardaí in Limerick are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found under the Shannon Bridge last night.

The man, believed to be in his early 20s, was found dead at Condell road shortly after 11pm.

He is believed to have suffered head injuries and gardaí are treating his death as suspicious.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination, while a post mortem is also due to be carried on the body later today.
