Australian PM Howard begins three-day official visit

Australian Prime Minister John Howard is due to begin a three-day official visit to Ireland today.

Mr Howard is due to meet President Mary McAleese, the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and members of the Irish-Australian business community during his trip.
