Man charged with murder of drug dealer

Police in the North have charged a 25-year-old man with murdering suspected drug dealer Patrick Fleming in Co Derry at the weekend.

Police in the North have charged a 25-year-old man with murdering suspected drug dealer Patrick Fleming in Co Derry at the weekend.

The 40-year-old father-of-two died in hospital after being stabbed at a flat on Hazelbank Road in Coleraine on Sunday.

Two years ago, £460,000 (€676,000) worth of assets belonging to Mr Fleming were frozen by the Assets Recovery Agency, which said it believed they were the proceeds of drug dealing.

The man charged with killing him is due to appear in court in Ballymena later today.
