Man charged in relation to drug dealer murder probe

A 27-year-old man was charged today with withholding information about the murder of a drug dealer in the North at the weekend.

He was due to appear in court in Antrim later accused of not giving information to police about the killing of 40-year-old Patrick Fleming.

Mr Fleming died in hospital after he was stabbed at a flat in Hazelbank Road in Coleraine, Co Derry, on Sunday.

Seventeen months ago the Assets Recovery Agency froze assets to the value of £460,000 (€674,000) belonging to Mr Fleming.

Officials said it was the “proceeds of Mr Fleming’s illegal drug dealing”.

The assets included a house, 10 acres of land, 15 horses and an equestrian exercise area.
